Juan Carlos Anzardo Escalona was born in Cuba in 1951 and received his artistic education at the Academy of Arts “El Alba” in Holguin, Cuba between 1968-1970. His abstract expressionist work shows the influence of the Gestural movement and Tachism through his material painting. His work has been exhibited in Spain, Canada, Argentina, Germany, Mexico, and the USA.
