The asymmetrical geometric composition of the No. 9 rug was inspired by simple, pictorial film animations from the early 20th century, and our own artistic experimentation with the scaling and layering of basic shapes, the design changing over time like a film strip.
No. 9 is made from finely spun cotton that’s been tightly woven on a panja loom using 30% more fiber than typical flatweaves, making it much more durable and comfortable than most — a modern heirloom for your world. Each rug takes a single artisan between two weeks and two months to finish.
- 100% fine Indian cotton, hand-dyed in Jaipur
- Hand-woven in Rajasthan on panja looms
- ¼” thick with a lighter weight and hand-bound edges
- Vacuum and spot-clean as needed with cold water, a mild dish or hand soap, and a soft brush.
Shipping: All in stock orders deliver within 5-12 days. Made to Order rugs will take 12 weeks to weave and ship.
