Name: Rare 1960s Jean Patou Knit & Wool Dress

Finding Jean Patou is exceedingly rare and this particular dress is stunning. It looks like a sweater and skirt but is actually a full dress. The knit is a stunning, almost popcorn knit texture with a high turtle neck. This neckline closes with hook and eye at the back so you can leave it unhooked and wear down, fold it like a classic turtleneck or wear it high and dramatic! The skirt is equally amazing - it is a weighted jersey knit and constructed to hold its shape and have a padded skirt feel - like a little bell! The combination of the skinny fit knit and the sculptural bell shape skirt is just fantastic! It is exquisitely constructed - all couture finished inside and surprisingly fully lined which means is doe snot feel hot and uncomfortable to wear like some knits do. This dress really requires a real girl in it to show it off to the extreme - the photos cant do the texture and feel of it justice!It is an amazing piece, very rare and in excellent condition.

Shoulders: 13" across with stretch
Bust: 17" flat across the interior lining from side seam to side seam - this will give some
Natural Waist: 13" flat across the interior lining from side seam to side seam
Hips: 21" flat across from side seam to side seam
Bodice: approx 21" from the shoulder to dropped waist - this is meant to slightly bunch when worn
Skirt: 26" from the dropped waist to bottom hem

The dress is fully lined in black silky rayon (even under the knit bodice) and closes at the back with a fine metal painted zipper. The skirt has a slightly padded feel and holds it shape. The back of the neck closes with hook and eye set on a grosgrain ribbon that is then attached to the knit. Note the color of the knit is a true soft grey and white - there are no yellow tones as per the pictures. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
